Contact the Record Custodian
Current detention questions and document requests go to different Natchitoches Parish contacts. NPSO Records serves incident reports, arrest paperwork, booking documents, warrants, bonds, and public-record requests. Its public counter is at 200 Church Street, Suite 101, Natchitoches, LA 71457. Call 318-357-7812 or email records@npsheriff.net. Mailed public-record requests may be sent to NPSO, P.O. Box 266, Natchitoches, LA 71457. In-person incident and accident report service is listed from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
The Natchitoches Parish Detention Center handles current custody. It is located at 299 Edwina Drive, Natchitoches, LA 71457, and Corrections can be reached at 318-357-9300. Use 911 only for an emergency. Do not use a records clerk, tip route, or search partner to report an immediate threat.
Match the question to the proper source:
- For a booking summary, retained booking photo, or older parish arrest record, use NPSO Records and the request route described on the Natchitoches Parish records hub.
- For current custody or release status, search the official NPSO inmate lookup or call Corrections.
- For a warrant question, call the NPSO Warrant Department at 318-357-7808 or 318-357-7809 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. After hours, use 318-352-6432.
- For bond information, call 318-357-7805 or 318-357-7840. Staff can explain the agency’s published commercial, property, and cash bond routes.
- For a city police report, contact the police department that handled the event. A municipal report and a parish detention booking are different records.
- For a disposition, contact the Natchitoches Parish Clerk of Court or consult Clerk Connect and the 10th Judicial District Court.
- For state custody or status notifications, use Louisiana DPS&C and LA VINE. Federal Bureau of Prisons and ICE locators serve separate federal systems.
LA VINE is designed for custody-status information and notifications. CodeRED serves emergency alerts, not booking notices. Neither should be treated as a guaranteed booking-photo alert. If Louisiana State Police worked the incident, NPSO directs report requests to Troop E in Alexandria.
